Ethereum Foundation sets Glamsterdam upgrade for Sepolia on Oct. 6

The Ethereum Foundation said the Glamsterdam network upgrade will go live on the Sepolia testnet at 21:53:36 Beijing time on Oct. 6, 2026, at epoch 353,024 and slot 11,296,768. The upgrade combines the Amsterdam execution-layer changes with the Gloas consensus-layer changes. Its headline items include enshrined proposer-builder separation, or ePBS, under EIP-7732; block-level access lists, or BALs, under EIP-7928; and gas pricing changes tied to EIP-8037, EIP-8038 and related proposals to better reflect execution costs and state growth. The Foundation said activation dates for Hoodi and Ethereum mainnet have not been set. It also said node operators need to update both execution-layer and consensus-layer clients before activation, while mainnet users and ETH holders do not need to take any action for now.
